Level 3 Train the Trainer Package (Security) - 3 Packages in 1
This unique Train the Trainer course is designed for anyone who wishes to deliver in the Security industry.
The Combined Train the Trainer Course includes:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
- Level 3 Delivering Conflict Management Training (DCMT)
- Level 3 Delivering Physical Intervention Training (DPIT)
The course is delivered over 10 days with pre-course work which will prepare you for teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, and for teaching Conflict Management
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) has been designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities.
It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as:
Individuals not currently teaching or training – achievement of the qualification does not require practice other than microteaching, unless units from the Learning and Development Suite of qualifications are selected;
Individuals currently teaching and training, including those new to the profession – although the qualifications does not require practice (see explanation above), opportunities may be made available to observe and provide feedback on a trainee teacher’s practice; and
Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.
Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training (QCF)
This accredited qualification has been developed to meet the requirements of trainers who wish to deliver scenario-based conflict management training. Individuals taking this qualification will already have completed a training qualification, for example Level 3 or Level 4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
This qualification is suitable for delivery across a wide range of sectors and is of particular benefit to those delivering training in a customer-facing role. It also meets the requirements of the Security Industry Authority for those delivering the licence to practice qualifications which include scenario-based conflict management training.
- Subjects covered include how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce the likelihood of conflict, factors that influence human responses in conflict situations and how to reduce risks. It also covers good practice to follow after conflict situations.
Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry (QCF)
This accredited qualification has been developed for those wishing to teach physical intervention skills to people working in the private security industry.
Subjects covered include the legal and physical implications of the use of physical interventions, how to reduce the risk of harm, how to use non-pain related physical skills to protect yourself and others and non-restrictive and restrictive skills.
The qualification consists of two units:
Unit 1 – This covers the knowledge and skills that the learner needs to be able to train those wishing to work in the private security industry.
Unit 2 - This will provide the learner with the skills to teach and assess the practical skills safely.
