5 Day Package - Level 3 Train the Trainer - Physical Intervention
This is a combination of class room learning and practical assessment sessions over a 5 day period. You will be required to attend all the training days and complete a portfolio to be able to deliver the MMVA qualifications.
Unit 1 - Monday to Tuesday - This is the Level 2 PI programme
Unit 2 - Wednesday to Friday - This is the TTT programme (annual refreshers are the last two days)
You will need to complete and pass both units to achieve your level 3 Certificate. On Unit 1 you will be required to complete and successfully achieve the level 2 qualification in Physical Invention.
On completion of Unit 1 you will be provided with lesson plans, delegate books and documentation to be a level 3 trainer allowing you to teach the level 2 programme. You will also receive a full licence agreement allowing you to use all the material while your licence is valid. This can be downloaded free of charge.
This training programme forms part of our application to achieve certified training service status. We are currently ‘working towards’ certification against the RRN standards (Restraint Reduction Network)
Successful candidates become Associate Trainers and their employers Affiliate Organisations.
Candidates should have:
- at least 2 years working in a service where they have been involved in management of "Behaviours that Challenge"
- they should possess or be working towards an adult education and teaching qualification (EAT)
- hold a suitable first aid qualification (including emergency first aid, resuscitation and the use of an AED).
- delivery of conflict management training (preferred)
Our course is designed to ensure the Trainer gains sufficient knowledge to fulfil the role. In order to support we offer:
- Direct point of contact to the instructors who deliver the TTT package
- At least 1 inclusive annual site visit to observe training with feedback
- The opportunity to return free of charge to enhance their skillset
- Annual refresher/licence renewal
Ongoing Costs:
- Workbooks - £5.00 per candidate
- Quality Assurance - £25 per portfolio
- Annual refresher fee each year from the anniversary of completion
- Affiliate Organisation cost of £300 per annum
Certification will be issued as PDF files to the organisation for each person successfully completing the course
